CYNTHIA (she/her) Teacher, Graduate of Muse Pilates Teacher Training
Muse: All of the lovely beings that I have witnessed, work through their challenges and emerge on the other side with their personal wins.
Cynthia is a movement teacher and a Registered Midwife. She finds joy, healing, self-expression and personal growth through exploring movement, and enjoys supporting others in discovering the same. As someone who works in healthcare, Cynthia views movement as another way to access understandings and interpretations of the body and mind interconnections. In her classes, you can expect to move creatively, have fun and leave feeling good, having had met that sweet edge between challenge and where you are at presently. Cynthia is MuseMovement-trained in Contemporary Mat Pilates and Reformer. Her other movement trainings include: Pilates Suspension Method, Movement for Trauma, Yoga (vinyasa, hatha, restorative, prenatal and postnatal) and Budokon Yoga. As a second-generation Filipina-Canadian, Cynthia is engaged in her own journey of learning and unlearning, and is committed to anti-oppression in everything that she approaches. Before acquiring her BHSc degree in Midwifery, she completed her BA in Bioethics & Gender Studies. When she’s not teaching or learning on the mat, you’ll find her catching babies of families in the greater Toronto area.
